Motivation

Limited Spread of Computational Intelligence Applications

Despite a number of studies on computational intelligence, there is a no mathematical framework for the design and analysis of intelligent systems taking into account the underlying uncertainties in a sensible way to deal with the real-world modeling problems. This might be a possible reason for a limited spread of computational intelligence based applications to the level of acceptance in the industry.

An Integrated Framework

The alternative approaches (e.g. mathematical optimization and stochastic methods) are not considered as competitive but complementary to the computational intelligence. The concept of an integrated framework has been introduced to remove the bottlenecks.

Setting Guidelines

An important part of our initiative is to address the questions such as: Can computational intelligence based method solve a given problem in hand?
